Day-by-day itinerary
6 Day Kenya Group Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
Pick-up begins from selected hotels in Westlands and Kilimani before meeting the rest of the group at Nairobi CBD. Airport pick-up can be arranged upon request at an additional cost. Depart Nairobi and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stop at the viewpoint for amazing views and photography. Continue to Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive searching for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at your safari camp.
Day 2: Full-Day Masai Mara Game Drive
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day shared game drive across the famous Masai Mara plains with a picnic lunch inside the reserve. Search for the Big Five including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and rhinos, plus cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras and abundant birdlife. During the Great Migration season (July–October), experience the incredible movement of wildebeest and zebras across the Mara ecosystem. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park
Enjoy an early morning game drive before breakfast and departure towards Lake Nakuru. Travel through the Great Rift Valley and arrive for an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Explore the famous rhino sanctuary and look out for flamingos (seasonal), giraffes, buffaloes, lions and various bird species. Dinner and overnight near Lake Nakuru.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru and drive towards Amboseli National Park. Enjoy the changing scenery as you travel across Kenya towards the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive at Amboseli in the evening, check in at your accommodation, enjoy dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Full-Day Amboseli National Park Game Drive
Spend the day exploring Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Famous for its huge elephant herds and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli offers incredible photography opportunities. Search for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos and many bird species. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Amboseli – Nairobi
Enjoy an early morning game drive with the opportunity to capture wildlife against the beautiful backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Return for breakfast before departing Amboseli for Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon with drop-off at Nairobi CBD and selected hotels in Westlands and Kilimani. Airport drop-off can be arranged upon request.
