Ol Pejeta Conservancy lies on the Laikipia Plateau between Mount Kenya and the Aberdares, near the town of Nanyuki. It is a working conservancy that combines wildlife protection with community programmes and cattle ranching.
Ol Pejeta is home to a large population of black rhino and is where the world’s last two northern white rhinos are protected. It is also home to Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a refuge for rescued chimpanzees.
