5-Day Masai Mara Special Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara
Depart Nairobi at 7:00 AM and drive along the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Stop at the viewpoint for photos. Arrive at Masai Mara in time for lunch (1:00 PM). Check into your lodge/camp. Enjoy an afternoon game drive from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Return to lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Full Day Masai Mara Exploration
6:00 AM - Early morning game drive to catch predators at dawn. Return for breakfast at 9:00 AM. 10:00 AM - Full day game drive with picnic lunch. Search for the Big Five and witness the Great Migration (July-October). Visit Mara River to see crocodiles and hippos. Optional hot air balloon safari available at 6:00 AM (extra cost $450 per person). Return to lodge at 5:00 PM. Dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Masai Mara Game Drives
7:00 AM - Breakfast at the lodge. 8:00 AM - Morning game drive exploring different sectors including Rhino Ridge and Paradise Plains. 12:30 PM - Lunch at the lodge. 4:00 PM - Visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions (extra cost $20). 6:30 PM - Return to lodge for dinner.
Day 4: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru
6:00 AM - Early morning game drive. Return for breakfast at 9:00 AM. 10:00 AM - Depart for Lake Nakuru National Park. 1:00 PM - Lunch en route. 4:00 PM - Afternoon game drive at Lake Nakuru to see flamingos, rhinos, and Rothschild giraffes. 6:30 PM - Check into lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
