Day-by-day itinerary
5-Day Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru & Lake Naivasha Group Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
Pick-up begins from selected hotels in Westlands and Kilimani before meeting the rest of the group at Nairobi CBD. Airport pick-up can be arranged upon request at an additional cost. Depart Nairobi and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stop at the viewpoint for breathtaking views and photography. Continue to Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at your safari camp. Enjoy an afternoon game drive searching for lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras and other wildlife. Dinner and overnight at your accommodation.
Day 2: Full-Day Masai Mara Game Drive
After breakfast, spend a full day exploring the magnificent Masai Mara National Reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Search for the Big Five including lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes and rhinos, together with cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras and numerous bird species. During the Great Migration season (July–October), witness one of the world's greatest wildlife events as wildebeest and zebras cross the Mara plains. Return to your camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Masai Mara – Lake Nakuru National Park
Enjoy an early morning game drive in Masai Mara before breakfast and departure towards Lake Nakuru. Drive through the beautiful Great Rift Valley landscapes and arrive at Lake Nakuru for an afternoon game drive. Explore the park, famous for its rhino sanctuary, flamingos (seasonal), lions, giraffes, buffaloes and diverse birdlife. Dinner and overnight near Lake Nakuru.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park before continuing to Lake Naivasha. Arrive in time for lunch and relax by the freshwater lake. You may enjoy an optional boat safari to see hippos and birds or visit Crescent Island for a guided walking safari experience. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha – Nairobi
After breakfast, enjoy your final morning at Lake Naivasha before beginning the return journey to Nairobi. Pass through the scenic Great Rift Valley and arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon. Drop-off is available at Nairobi CBD and selected hotels in Westlands and Kilimani. Airport drop-off can be arranged upon request.
